Position Summary The welder will weld and polish stainless steel enclosures per blueprint utilizing a tig welder and hand polishing grinders. This is a full-time position that requires working at least 40 hours/week from Monday through Thursday. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area Plans details of work order procedures and gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job Prepares materials, fit, and weld per blueprints provided Grind & polish welds to sanitary standard per blueprints Monitors the welding process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered Performs other related duties as assigned Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately Collaborate with operators and engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve productivity Interact with coworkers to effectively complete tasks Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience Detail-oriented & organized Ability to read blueprints and tolerancing of parts accordingly Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints Familiarity with different sheet materials (grade, thickness, finish) Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Effective verbal and written communication skills Thorough understanding of welders & grinders used in the production of enclosures Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms Basic understanding of mathematics as it relates to welding assignments Self-motivated and able to recognize next steps in projects Must be able to see details at close range Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times Must be able to stand for an extended period Education & Experience: Compliance with safety and quality standards High School Diploma or equivalent Manufacturing environment experience 3 years of welding and polishing experience preferred Application Process: All applicants will receive an acknowledgement receipt of the employment application within two weeks.
