Over the last 50+ years, the electrical enclosure industry typically has put holes in the back of enclosures for mounting. These mounting holes would require gaskets that would eventually fail and require repair. We weld up the holes that came with the enclosure and add mounting lugs or mounting tabs to the enclosure. When we first designed the Double Stud mounting system, it was all about reducing the installation time and keeping the enclosure dryer to reduce the customer’s cost of ownership.
