Formed in 2013, Custom Stainless Enclosures, Inc. was founded with a single focus: to build the most durable, reliable, and hygienic electrical enclosures on the market.

We are the first electrical enclosure manufacturer in North America to test with UL for IP69 & IP69K ratings. Today, every metal enclosure we manufacture is third-party tested by UL, carrying minimum ratings of cULus Type: 4X, IP66 & IP69K. When hygienic conditions matter most, industry leaders trust 4Xxtreme®. We offer the largest electrical door sizes in the industry for IP69K-rated enclosures.

Patented Double Seal Technology: Our double seal features field-replaceable, push-on Blue EPDM gaskets that are foreign-material inspectable, offer excellent chemical resistance, and are rated for 248°F (120°C) continuous use.

Single Closing Point: All our enclosure doors have only one single closing point latch, up to our maximum 80” High x 36” Wide doors.

Patented Double Stud™ Mounting Technology: Our revolutionary weld-in-place Double Stud™ wall mount is designed to mount the back panel on the inside of the enclosure, while simultaneously providing the mounting means to install the enclosure from the outside.

Ultra Clean – Free Draining Design: All our standard & custom enclosures feature an ultra-clean, free-draining hygienic design, built specifically for your prepared food zones and high-sanitation environments where hygienic requirements matter the most.

Our History of Innovation and Growth

Over the past decade, we have continuously refined our enclosure technology and streamlined operations to lower our customers’ overall cost of ownership of their equipment and maintenance costs by providing the most reliable electrical enclosures on the market, resulting in increased plant production uptime and overall profitability:

2021: Our Single Hygienic Quarter Turn design became an Innovation Showcase Winner at the Process Expo (currently known as EATS) – a revolutionary enclosure latching design that needs only one closing point to keep your electrical equipment perfectly dry, and maintain Type 4X and IP69K ratings. This same year, we launched our 4XProtect® Series Enclosures, which include specialized Push Button, Junction Box, HMI, and Power Distribution enclosures.

2022: We expanded operations by opening a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Marshfield, Wisconsin. We equipped the facility with a cutting-edge Bystronic Laser and CNC Press Brake machinery and heavily invested in our workforce.

2025: We evolved beyond our roots as a strictly custom enclosure company. To meet the fast-paced needs of our industry, we launched a complete line of standard enclosures and a new online store, offering stock inventory ready to ship.
